An e-phone is a service that allows you to exchange phone calls for free. You simply need to have an e-phone address (SIP) and an Internet connection, to send and receive such calls from any mobile device. Some providers enable cross calls between SIP and traditional phones for about 0.01€/min (2009). Contrary to Skype, SIP is an open protocol.
